A pioneer in
Biotech was first established in 2013 under Yayasan Lengis Hijau, Bali’s first non-profit organisation to recycle UCO waste into a sustainable energy source. We emerged with a visionary goal: empowering people in reducing their reliance on fossil fuels, as well as providing a smart solution for Bali’s critical UCO waste problem.
Over the years, we have grown to become Bali’s leading commercial-scale biodiesel producer, providing innovative, high-value products and partnering up with many renowned companies and organisations in Indonesia.
Biotech wants to contribute significantly, in an environmentally, socially, and economically sustainable manner to a more responsible economic growth in Bali. We aim to increase the share of biofuels and inspire the uses of renewable energy across different industries on the island. Through developing green technology, we want to help in mitigating climate change, protecting the environment, reducing health-related hazard caused by improper waste management, while at the same time reducing poverty in Bali.
Biotech aspires to be the leader of innovation in green technology in Bali, as well as a reliable partner in helping industries in Bali implementing a responsible waste management solution. We are committed in providing a new, high quality source of renewable energy, safeguarding our energy supplies, and potentially reducing our dependence for fossil fuels.
